Built to scale

Our $97M Series B will help take Efficient’s technology from its first processor to a broader range of products. We’re developing chips for applications that use embedded GPUs today and extending our Fabric architecture toward datacenter-scale computing. Our vision is a future where energy no longer limits what AI and computing can achieve.

More computing from every joule

Imagine what becomes possible when energy goes further. From autonomous drones inspecting power lines to sensors monitoring infrastructure for years, Electron E1 brings sophisticated AI to places where power is limited. Now in volume production, it delivers 10–100x better energy efficiency for general-purpose computation, including AI.

Programmable for what comes next

The next breakthrough shouldn’t require starting over. Developers can use familiar C, C++, LiteRT, and ONNX languages and frameworks to run AI alongside sensing, control, and application code on one programmable processor. As models improve and applications change, they can recompile and update devices already in the field, giving today’s hardware room to take on tomorrow’s ideas.

Backed by industry-leading investors

“Efficient is going after the most critical bottleneck in one of the largest AI markets, energy efficient compute. We have a long track record of backing exceptional teams out of Carnegie Mellon and we believe Brandon and his team are well suited to tackle this massive problem.”

"Efficient Computer truly lives up to its name in more ways than one. The company has built a unique, energy-efficient computing architecture, and has also done it in a highly capital-efficient manner. To reach this stage of development and commercialization with so little expenditure to date sets them up for unparalleled growth and success going forward."

"From our first conversation with Brandon Lucia and the team at Efficient Computer, we were captivated by a vision for compute that decouples performance from energy consumption at a time when that trade-off matters more than ever. We've seen firsthand how robotics, drones, and edge sensor deployments are constrained by onboard energy storage, and how dramatically more useful these systems become with access to localized compute. Efficient Computer has the potential to become the fabric upon which these energy-constrained systems are built and deployed."

"At RTX, we are committed to driving innovation that addresses the world's toughest challenges. Through RTX Ventures' investment in Efficient Computer, we are supporting the development of groundbreaking energy-efficient processors that will empower AI applications across edge, infrastructure, and emerging markets, delivering intelligence where it's needed most, with efficiency at the forefront."

Dan Ateya, President and Managing Director
RTX Ventures

"As we continue to see AI embedded across the physical world, Efficient's processors enable intelligence in applications that were previously inaccessible. We see Efficient's architecture as the missing link in AI's last mile distribution problem. We are proud to support the team as they tackle AI's energy problem from the edge to the datacenter."

Peter Zhou, General Partner
Triatomic Capital

“Delivering embedded GPU capabilities and datacenter-class performance at a fraction of traditional power demands represents a monumental leap for the industry. Efficient Computer’s combination of accelerator-class efficiency and general-purpose programmability opens the door to more capable systems where power has long been the limiting factor. Toyota Ventures is proud to continue backing the team as they build a new foundation for computing in the physical world.”

Chris Abshire, Partner
Toyota Ventures

"At Borderless, we invest through a dual-use lens: does this scale commercially, and is it strategically necessary. Efficient is a clean answer to both. Power is the real constraint on where you can put serious compute, and that constraint sits squarely inside both commercial and national security use cases. Efficient's architecture solves that at the chip level, and the E1 is already shipping in volume. Whoever solves power efficiency gets to decide where compute goes next.
That's the bet we're making with Efficient Computer."

Patrick O'Kain, Partner
Borderless Capital

"The demand for energy efficient compute is now everywhere, and the Eficient team is in the right place to execute quickly and bring a step-change solution to the market."

Morgan Schwanke, General Partner & Founder

“Intelligence is moving out of the datacenter and into the physical world - into robots, drones, sensors, and machines that have to think where they operate. What limits them is not algorithms, it is joules. Autonomy in the physical world is an energy problem long before it is a software problem, and Efficient Computer is the only company we believe can solve it— general-purpose compute at a fraction of the energy, in silicon that ships today. That is why we invested.”

“Eclipse backed Efficient from the very beginning because we believed solving AI’s energy problem would require rethinking computing from the ground up. Today, that vision is becoming reality: Electron E1 is shipping, customer demand is accelerating, and the same architecture is scaling from physical AI to the datacenter. We’re proud to have been alongside Brandon and the team from day one and even more excited about what comes next."

Greg Reichow, Partner
Eclipse Capital

“The biggest technology shifts happen when companies like Efficient Computer rethink fundamental constraints and transform what’s possible. Efficient’s ability to bring dramatic energy-efficiency gains across the performance spectrum will fundamentally change how computing is built and deployed, from physical AI to the data center.”

Rebecca Kaden, General Partner
Union Square Ventures

"We backed Brandon and the team because they aren't chasing a trend, they've spent years at Carnegie Mellon solving the hard architectural problems that make energy-efficient compute actually work. As AI and edge workloads push power demand to a breaking point, that's exactly the kind of deep, patient engineering the world needs right now."

Zenetta Burger, USA Lead Partner
Giant Ventures

“As AI agents do more work in software and in the physical world, the demand for energy-efficient computing extends far beyond running the models themselves. Efficient has developed a fundamentally different architecture that brings a step function in efficiency to general-purpose computing. What convinced us was Brandon, Graham and Nathan’s ability to build both the hardware and the software—and turn that breakthrough into a business. Not only have they taped out four times, but they’re already shipping chips to customers at volume.”
